Energy and Sustainability

Energy and Sustainability

Planning policy and modern building practices will inform sustainable and low carbon energy design. The submission will identify how the relevant policies will be satisfied alongside an appropriate reduction in carbon emissions.

The proposals through careful design and use of materials seek to enhance the sustainability and energy efficiency of the development.

Various strategies are being considered as part of the sustainability design:

  • New build will have high thermal efficency
  • Existing building will have thernal efficency improved
  • New energy efficient services thoughout entire building making use of geothermal and solar energy systems
  • Centralised plant to allow for energy management
