SALE OF PEWS – folk may hanker after comfy seats in Church, but there is a lot of interest in buying hard pews. Prices: A pew with two ends: £300. A pew with one end: £250 A pew without ends: £200. Delivery: £20 delivery each. Contact David Johnson.

“R U READY” QUIZ – The winner is Anne Mountain of Wigton, Cumbria. This quiz has raised £730 and the total raised to date is £25,066.

CHURCH DIRECTORY – We would like to complete preparation of this directory. So if you wish to be in it please complete a Consent Form (attached), if you have not already done so. Hard copies and help will be available after services on 5th & 12th October. If you do not wish to be in the directory please let Marian know (mfb@yorkshireowls.co.uk). Completed consent forms can be emailed/dropped off to Marian at St Enodoc, (next door to the chemist) or brought to the above services. .

LINK TO HOPE – we are doing Christmas shoeboxes along with Poppleton Anglicans and Lidgett Methodists this year. Gifts required include: gloves, scarf or hat, sweets, chocolate (BB June 26, EU origin) soap, flannel, toothbrush & paste, candles, holders, tealights, small games (travel size). There will be a box for your gifts at Coffee On The Green, at our next two Sunday services and at Poppleton Anglican Churches. You can also make monetary gifts at www.linktohope.co.uk and mention Poppleton Churches, there are also further details of items required.

FLOURISH – A festival perfect for all ages! This District event will be held at York University on 13-15 February 2026. The theme is ‘Woven Threads’ and there is an exciting programme of speakers, workshops, worship, activities and inspiration. You will find it all in the brochure.
